Difficult conversation

Mm-hmm.

And, um, we always, uh, p- part of that is, what you're talking about is, uh, I believe it's number three, is initiate the difficult conversation.

They should say, "Hey, why was I not given that raise?" Or, "I've noticed lately that you don't include me in conversations." Um, a lot of times, I was using this when I was coaching speech and debate-

I need to have a hard conversation.

Give her a heads-up, and it sounds like, according to you, she's all in.

She, she's great about that.

And the last one is the repair question.

After the hard conversation, ask yourself, what does this person need from me right now to move forward? Because accountability doesn't end when the truth is spoken.

It ends when the person on the other side knows you're still with them.

That's a big one.

The crazy part is people think resentment appears out of nowhere.

It appears because we avoided the hard conversation for weeks, months, years.

Right, and then suddenly divorce court shows up like an unwelcome surprise party.
