How joyous are you, I guess, just to see both of these teams in the round of 32 at this point?

That, as you could imagine, I'm beyond elated with both teams.

I saw a reel from Roger Bennett that essentially talked about, you know, his arrival here in 19 or just after 1994 and seeing the evolution of the game here in the States as a British man.

I came here as a Colombian guy.

And when I got to Kansas City, there was very little here.

And so to now have seen, haven't seen the blossoming and the progression of the game, the evolution of the game, the growth, the mistakes, the warts, the great special moments, woke up moments that we've lived both here, you know, for the U.S. and for the Colombian team.

Just the state of the game in this country.

What should we look for today, and what can we learn today in the game that we're about to see? That's a

great question.

I think that not having a qualifying process could be, could have been a catastrophic type of situation.

Why? Because I do believe that going into CONCACAF and going into Guatemala or Salvador or whoever your opponents are, these are really difficult conditions.

Like people in Europe and South America don't understand the complexity of traveling to Central America and trying to get a result at two o'clock in the afternoon with 100 degree weather and the humidity and the travel and with a pitch that is just simply not up to par, right? And so you have to deal with all those conditions.

And all of those conditions, and when you take all of those difficulties and all of those challenges, I think that it galvanizes a group.

And we didn't count with that qualifying process this time around.

And if he's having a good tournament, he makes this whole group around him better and better.
