um yeah but that's as far as them doing kink that really is about it but i would still definitely put it in the kinky movie box because it's non-diegetic kink uh we talked about this in the crash episode a little bit um but for anyone who hasn't listened to that or has forgotten um diegetic kink is when the characters are aware they're doing something kinky so in secretary where he spanks her that's diegetic kink the characters know they're doing bdsm Non-diegetic kink is where the characters, from their perspective, if they were real people, don't think they're doing anything kinky.

They are just experiencing life or they're experiencing some kind of violence.

But it's presented in a way that is intended to be experienced as kink by the audience.

Like, regardless of what you think about the needle drop at the end of this movie, the fact that it was so undiegetic when most of the other music in this movie and James Gunn's previous movies is diegetic.

It just really was like, what are we doing? Like, you just gave up.

Diegetic means that the music is playing in the scene for the characters in addition for the audience.

But in this movie, it was just playing for the audience.
