Dictator

There was a Catholic priest who became a Protestant, a guy named Leo Lehman.

And he wrote a book during World War II called Behind the Dictators.

And he argued that Hitler and the entire Nazi movement was organized by the Jesuit order to carry out their purposes.

And that what Hitler was really following, what was called the Letachowski Plan.

It has been decided to make public a communication received at the Foreign Office bearing on the blocking of Folkestone Harbor, the Straits of Gibraltar, Yokohama, and New York.

The communication is dated from the Dictatorial Residence and reads as follows.

To the Premier of Great Britain, you are informed that the blocking of Folkestone Harbor, as well as that of the Straits of Gibraltar, New York, and Yokohama, is evidence of my intention and power to assume control of the governments of the world as Dictator.

Present administrations and systems of government will continue in power under my direction and subject to my commands.

Rivers can be made to cease to flow, lakes to irrigate, and all commerce and agriculture forced to suspend its activity.

This will be done if it is made necessary by the refusal of the governments of the world to accede to my demands.

The class is formally titled Dictators in Europe and Russia because authoritarianism in Europe, Russia and Eurasia was too long.

GW bureaucracy didn't allow the title.

And so they pitched me Dictators in Europe and Russia.

I'm like, well, that sounds fine.

That's great.

You know, I'd like to say that Vladimir Putin would probably be a very nice guy if he were a gardener working outside of Moscow.

But what has made him such a vicious person Dictator? Well, his addiction to power and his desire to increase his power, even if it means invading other countries and killing political opponents.

Let's look at Kim Jong-un in North Korea.

He would probably be a pretty nice guy if he were running an Airbnb in Hawaii and surfing every day.

He ended, and his words impression left Of much amazement to th' infernal crew, Distracted and surpriz'd with deep dismay At these sad tidings: but no time was then For long indulgence to their fears or grief.

He previously held research and teaching positions at Stanford University and Northwestern University.

His extensive research on authoritarian regimes includes his latest book, Dictators and the Higher Education Dilemma, State Power and the University in Modern Iran, published by Rutgers University Press in 2026, and a 2015 book on the perceived paramilitary force and the securitization of Iranian society, entitled Captive Society, published by Columbia University Press, along with several articles in academic journals and popular media.
