Dick Rowe

I actually wrote one song before that, which it's called It's All Right With Me, which we were still doing when, I mean, Colin does it now on stage, actually.

But apart from that song, when Dick Rowe from Decca, and we had no idea that he was seeing us on the rock and roll competition we were in, and he came and said, look, I'd like to give you a recording session to record a single.

And we went into Decca Records...

I've heard that George Harrison on Jukebox Jury was supportive of She's Not There.

George Harrison that said something to someone in the newspapers back in Liverpool about this band that are playing in Richmond who are fantastic.

And I think Dick Rowe of Decker was approached by Andrew Holdham And he'd already turned down the Beatles in earlier times.

And he had that on his conscience.

Didn't want to turn down another band.

was Yesterday.

Looking back on it, turning down that song from Paul was the equivalent of Dick Rowe at Decca turning down the Beatles.

again there's little details of that story that just don't sit right with me he said that they just played it at the show yeah and then he played it for billy like so it was already in the act with the beatles meaning they had already recorded it probably anyway i don't know maybe it was offered to billy but you know who knows It was also said to have been offered to Chris Farlow.

In this case, a demo was actually given to him.
