Did Tom Tiffany really get 90% of his donations from three billionaires? Yep, he sure did.

Three multi-billionaires, Diane Hendricks, the richest person in Wisconsin, a conservative mega-donor, and the U-Lines, Richard and Elizabeth, have poured in more than $450 million into conservative and Republican political campaigns over the years.

They're major funders behind Club for Growth, Restoration Pack, and of course, all things MAGA.

And here's what I really want to get to.

We don't have a Senate race here in Wisconsin, but it's very clear that the minority leader is looking at Wisconsin because what we basically have is three billionaires versus 3.7 million voters.

The investment by Diane Hendricks and the U-lines, Dick and Liz, it's unfathomable.

They have put something in the neighborhood of $50 million into direct campaign contributions by funneling through the Republican Party to... not just Tom Tiffany, but also the State Senate and the State Assembly.

They represent 90% of the fundraising by Tom Tiffany and every single candidate in the state legislature for the Republicans.

And we saw the unprecedented wave that Democrats had in 2024 in a place where Donald Trump got the most votes in history.

With these fair maps, with the environment being so bad for Republicans because of their failures up and down the stream, I think it's going to be a big night for Democrats here in the state of Wisconsin.

Again, you're seeing million-dollar assembly races where 90% of the money for the Republicans is coming out of Diane Hendricks, Liz Uline and Dick Uline's wallets.

You know, this is the most it's the most unproductive legislature ever that we've ever had.

Under state law, there are limits to how much a donor can give a candidate, but no limits to how much they can give to these outside PACs.

So big difference there in spending.

And is this the ROI that Dick and Liz Uline and Diane Hendricks are looking for when they are spending these astronomical sums to back Tom Tiffany, to back Republicans up and down the ballot? Yeah, maybe we can spend, you know, 50 million on the governor's race, but are we going to save that by not paying any state income tax? It's pretty swampy.

It's pretty swampy.

Tiffany wants this to be Texas so bad, but he, to your point, Dan, he forgets that we ain't got no oil.

But what's happening at down ballot is the same story as what we're seeing at the top of the ticket.

People hate Trump.

people are blaming republicans for a shitty economy uh people have soured on whatever mega came to represent but you have this anti-trump national environment coming up against the money and the money is just so overwhelmingly in favor of the republicans and you know we talked it last week about how you know what was it more than 90 percent of tom tiffany's latest funding came from three people came from diane hendricks uh richard and elizabeth uline uh it is the same story down ballot it is you know if you i think you know some of the individual uh campaigns i think democrats have have a slight edge in a lot of these races but the republican assembly campaign committee and the equivalent committee in the state senate they each have gotten uh just millions and millions of dollars from these same three donors.

I think Hendrix in particular was singularly like the main donor for, I wanna say Rack got, I don't have the numbers right in front of me, but I think they raised like six million some, and I think five and a half million came from Diane Hendrix.

And we got to go to break.

There's no way any right minded person can look and say Diane Hendricks gives 20 million dollars essentially to the state Republican operation.

And that Diane is not going to like this isn't going to work out really well for Diane Hendricks.

It's absurd.

And I don't think anyone will believe that anymore.

The biggest problem, as you know, that we're going to have in Wisconsin is three billionaires are basically trying to buy all politics in Wisconsin.

You know, the people from the U lines and Diane Hendricks are just trying to purchase over 90 percent of Tom Tiffany's funds are coming from three billionaires.

billionaires which is bizarre same thing in legislature the biggest amount of funds for republicans are coming there the good news is and i hope they start to use this because i haven't seen enough of it is go after that because elon musk was toxic when he tried to buy the election as an outsider the u-lines are from illinois i mean hendrix is from wisconsin but do you still want her to be able to buy this as her play thing you know she can go get a hobby farm Instead, she's putting her money into buying these politicians that work against your education and your health care for your kids.

And so we need to lift that more, I think.

But like we mentioned, the financial advantage is gargantuan for Republicans right now.

The U lines and Hendricks are Funding this to it.

They've always been big spenders in Wisconsin elections.

This is this is going well beyond anything that we'd seen.

And Tom Tiffany is like in in Congress and he has been in Congress.

And again, he votes 100 percent of the time with Trump, who I would say is the poster child for waste, fraud and abuse.

And so he has he's helped create a system, a rigged tax system that benefits the U lines and Diane Hendricks and the wealthy donors that are trying to buy him.

A governor's seat.
