So yeah, the purpose, I think, when I started writing this article was to talk about sustainable and green observability that, to be honest, not many people or many companies are talking about.

And I'd rather put a focus than just simply not having a discussion about cost optimization, but also thinking about minimizing waste, right? So like you very well said, many companies, they're collecting a lot of data without actually having a strategy or basically doing any system design around observability.

And what they do find out obviously later down the road is that they keep storing a lot of data.

They don't necessarily use any metrics or the full amount of metrics.

And is there a nuance there to explore?
