Diana Bishop

Let's start with Harkness.

A Discovery of Witches centers on Diana Bishop.

Now she is a brilliant historian of science at Oxford University, but she is also a witch who aggressively rejects her magic.

She wants nothing to do with it.

Huge.

And the protagonist is Diana Bishop.

She is a highly respected university historian, but, and here's the catch, she is also a descendant of a very powerful witch lineage.

But she doesn't want anything to do with it, right?
