Diamond Cut

There were loads of surprises, a cover of Wild World.

Obviously she did some songs from The World Starts Tonight as well as Natural Force and Diamond Cut.

It was really quite representative of her RCA material.

She also did a Frankie Miller cover.

But what I love about this track is that tender vocal, delicate electric piano, And it's like the album is exhaling after I'm Just a Woman opens with such a heavy sound.

It slows down a bit more.

It kind of feels like maybe it's... an elevated version of what you hear on Diamond Cut.

This is a little bit more sophisticated, a little bit more well-placed, and I think that Hugh Murphy's detail is in all that kind of spacing around her voice.
