cyber, I've been doing cyber close to 30 years.

I've served in Department of Homeland Security in the Science and Technology Directorate as a computer scientist.

I worked at MITRE doing cyber defense with MITRE ATT&CK.

Now I'm back in industry working for a software company because I do think that, you know, sometimes working on the outside, working back into the government is a good way to kind of help government level up and improve their overall cyber defense.

So we would partner with DARPA.

We would partner with DHS Science and Technology.

We had an entire directorate who focused on technical security.

And since I've left the Secret Service, they've actually accelerated a lot of those partnerships and have stood up even more divisions to try to embrace technology and do R&D.

There are too many independent actors involved, but there are no indications at this time that the conflict is ending imminently.

Now, moving forward here, the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate announced the launch of the Ready, Set, ID, the BioThreat, an AI-assisted algorithmic bio-detection prize challenge.

A title only a government agency could come up with.

Now, the challenge is seeking AI-assisted technology to detect potential biological threat signals and distinguish them from benign environmental background data.

So my question is, does the sheer bureaucratic weight of Kona Blue suggest the drafters knew exactly what they were looking for, or at least knew exactly who already had it?

Well, to understand the weight of Tarot Tool's signature, you have to really understand the function of the DHS Science and Technology Directorate.

Their primary mandate is risk assessment and threat mitigation for catastrophic scenarios.
