It was a scopolamine, which is for air sickness but makes you drowsy, and then it was half of a Dexedrine to keep you awake.

But one time we'd laid out all the shots, we took the Scope Dex, and then they said, "No, we have a mechanical problem.

We're not fl- we can't do this flight this afternoon." And now I, now I'm feeling the Dexedrine.

So most psychotropic medication that are prescribed are not okay to have or to be on while you're drinking ayahuasca.

So SSRIs, benzodiazepines like Xanax and Klonopin value, also Adderall and Dexedrine and those stimulants.

but also the antipsychotic medications or the hypnotics like Trazodone and Seroquel and those other ones, you have to have usually 30 days off and sometimes 15 days off, just depends.

So we always tell people you got to taper with the help of your prescribing doctor and you have to have a certain amount of time off before you can drink ayahuasca.

When I woke up the next morning, I threw the rest of the pills in the trash.

Dextroamphetamine.

Basically like Adderall, but stripped of levamphetamine, a less potent amphetamine isomer that helps to smooth the overall effects of the drug.

Dextroamphetamine, or Dexy, has been around since the 1930s and was issued to U.S. bomber pilots in World War II to help keep them awake on nighttime missions.

It's still around today.

but far less common than Adderall or Ritalin, methylphenidate.
