Brandon, what if you give thoughts on how you think Ben Johnson will try to deal with our everywhere superheroes? Which, of course, we have two Quicksilvers on the team.

We have Quick Nick and we have Silver Spoon himself.

How do you think Ben's going to try to deal with these guys, if it's even possible?

I think if I were Ben, I would try and stay away from... fitting it in there with Devin Witherspoon on the other side of the ball, whether or not he's up against...

I think they'll try and find matchups to where...

Yeah, they're not going to...

They're going to try and find favorable matchups for Luther Burton, and that's going to be not on Spoon.

So whether or not that's rolling out a lot of three-receiver sets where they've got Kalief Raymond and just going, okay, yeah, I'm fine with Kalief Raymond getting taken away by Spoon and then trying to go toward Burden on the outside.

So I could be wrong, right? They have enough cap space available in 2028.

The Murphy extension is going to be like JSN and Witherspoon, right? Where they have two years left on it and they add it to that.

So that's, you know, 26, 27 is taken care of.

That's fine.

He's one of those quarterbacks I feel where you hit him a few times, he slowly starts to shut down a little bit.

We saw it in college when he was at USC too.

I think this is a prime opportunity where you get into some of those dime loops where you put, you know, Job and Pritchett on the outside and you bring what you did against Drake May in the Super Bowl with Nicky Manwari and Devin Witherspoon in the slot and you just let them wreak havoc.

And hey, who knows? Maybe Drake Thomas is back and you send the Wolverine on a few blitzes.

And that's just how they are.

You know, we talk about John taking big swings, but also, you know, the sort of Mike McDonald urgency of like we're not going to sit around and wait on this you know we we have another and I think he's looking at his defense going these guys are still maybe even better maybe better with the development of Riley Mills and what they know they can get from Nick Emanwari and how Spoon just continues to and Spoon might be the most like unsung hero on that defense because he doesn't have a lot of stats but he just he does so much and they you know they got to the point and like okay I mean, to me, it was kind of a sign to take a big swing because they're confident about where they're going.

Now, he's not quite to where Quentin Nelson is, but it seems like, yeah, Quentin Nelson definitely is going to have that kind of an effect.

And I would just even say on Spoon, like his personality is just infectious.

I feel like, you know, he's obviously this is his job.

He's making millions of dollars to do what he's doing.

We've paid Witherspoon as we should, and he's having a decent season.

But when you look at this defense, it's about number three in those defensive linemen.

And it was kind of fun because it was Devon Witherspoon with the Sunday Night Crew.

And Devon, like he does, he will just tell you maybe more information than Mike McDonald would like him to to share.

But he said, man, like our number one goal was to stop canine and make them throw it.

So to your point, if you think about...

Some of the marginal, I shouldn't say marginal, some of the improvement from key players in this defense that are going from year one to year two, Nick being a great example, this this improvement and just in my mind, I think we're seeing the best version of Byron Murphy, which is an incredible thing for this defense.

Obviously, Spoon is Spoon and he's doing his thing.

we're we're seeing obviously like our superstars are playing at a superstar level which your stars have to be stars um little brock brock huardism there your stars got to play like stars but then beyond that um having some of these second year guys really come into their own and make these massive impacts i think that's what you're seeing right you're just seeing this evolution of of these key contributors I don't know how many teams have a Tyrese Knight, right, that will just suddenly, oh, our starting linebacker went down.

Pulling out Julian Love and looking down currently right now.

If you're making a list of the five best corners in the league, Witherspoon is one of them.
