... is Devil Summoner Soul Hackers.

So, you know, a few of these you- you've heard of and maybe a, a few of them you haven't, um, which I think makes it an, a very interesting look at what was seen as being the best games by readers at the time.

Um, something I noticed about this, a couple things about this top 10, um, the only first party game in this top 10, you know, done by Sega was Sakura Wars 2.

Mm-hmm.

Like, they will advertise, like, niche stuff like Eversion Error or something like Sakura...

Well, no, I wouldn't say Sakura is a niche, but, like, Devil Summoner, like these more niche titles and single player experiences.

Like, even when I was in Japan, they advertised, like, the damn arcade machine for this anime I was watching.

I was, I tried to get in some time on the PS2 with it, but I, I just didn't have a chance.

Um, so it is an offshoot of, uh, Shin Megami Tensei and the Devil, Devil Summoner games.

Um, some of those games were only available in Japan or only available at launch in Japan.

Um, I f- I believe from my reading that the original game was based on a book [chuckles] by the sort of creator of this series.

Uh, #CalendarGate, Yu Narukami's bedroom calendar got updated.

It's now the cover of Devil Summoner for the Sega Saturn, which is, uh, hilarious because Yu Narukami's calendar has only ever been Persona 3 or Catherine, so it's never really been SMT specifically before.

I don't know if that's teasing anything, but, like, legitimately, if we-- And I, like, I, and I know, like, this is, like, the big anniversary year for Persona, but, like, if somehow that is teasing Devil Summoner is coming back, and we are getting a remake or a remaster or even just a port of the PSP version for Devil Summoner, man, that game is overdue.

That game is so good.

That game has such a vibe.

N- none of these I will be selecting free to play.

Oh, man.

I saw Devil Summoner and got excited.

Yeah, you were waiting the whole time to do that.

[laughs] No, I just read it in my script and went like, "Oh my God, that's perfect." Leanan Sidhe first appeared in Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner back in 1995 on the SEGA Saturn, the game that everybody remembers and played on the SEGA Saturn, and since then has appeared in pretty much every mainline SMT and Persona game since.

On top of that, her design has stayed exactly the same since her inception, as hard as that is to believe.

She doesn't even have a couple of odd occurrences where she looks slightly different.
