Deviant

like dementors I don't know what those little Demogorgon evil things were, but...

Yeah, the Deviants.

Dementor's Deviants.

Very close.

Yeah, same thing.

They were created by the Celestials and sent to Earth by Erishim...

Arishem the Judge, as he'll be known by the end of this movie, with a specific mission to protect humanity from the Deviants, monstrous predators that have been sent to consume intelligent life across the universe.

The Ten Eternals are Ajak, the team leader and healer, Icarus, the powerful flying warrior, Cersei, who can manipulate matter and transform substances, Thena, a warrior who can create weapons from cosmic energy, Gilgamesh, the team's strongest member, Kingo, who fires cosmic energy projectiles, is quite a character, Makkari, the universe's fastest being, Drigg, who can control minds, and Phastos, a technological genius, and Sprite, who can create extremely convincing illusions despite being physically unable to age.

Celestials aren't new to this universe, of course.

We saw Eson the Searcher in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy using the Power Stone, and nowhere the severed head is ahead of another Celestial.

So the Eternals successfully eradicate Deviants from Earth, we think, but Arishem gives them a strict rule.

They're not supposed to interfere with human affairs unless Deviants are involved.

As a result, they kind of watch humanity develop without interfering in various wars or political conflicts or natural disasters.

And I swear there were some moments where I was getting early 2000 video game CGI looks.

Like, think of the creatures from if you ever watch Netflix Wednesday meets the Deviants from the Eternals and imagine they had an ugly baby.

Seriously, I'm talking about Scorpion King from The Mummy 2 type of energy.

And I know that might sound harsh, but I can't pretend it didn't take me out of the movie, especially knowing that this is the most expensive Korean film ever made.
