Deuteronomy 32

And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says, quote, let all God's angels worship him.

That's in Deuteronomy 32, verse 43.

In speaking of the angels, he says, quote, That's in Psalm 104, verse 4.

But about the Son, he says, Your throne, O God, will last forever and ever.

So both versions are taught elsewhere.

That God did occasionally not care for his disobedient people is found in passages like Deuteronomy 32:18-19.

That God was a husband to Israel is found in passages like Isaiah 54:5.

So the issue as to which of these two truths Jeremiah 32:31 originally expressed is largely academic.

And the song of Moses beginning with verse 1 of chapter 32 going through to verse 43.

Deuteronomy 32 verses 1 to 43.

Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak.

and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

Michael Heisner's Unseen Realm looks at Deuteronomy 32 as an explanation in Psalm 82 as... where the other gods came from.

Basically at Babel, God divorces the nations and gives them to the sons of God to control, to shepherd.

Unfortunately, if you read, I think, Psalm 82, verse 8, it basically says, since you didn't do a very good job and you led everybody astray, you're going to die like men.

The songs of Moses in Exodus 15 verses 1 through 18 and Deuteronomy 32 verses 1 through 43 demonstrate Moses's poetic side.

Some doubt this psalm was written by Moses, but instead think it was written in the spirit of Moses or as a tribute to him.

So let's read it.

yeah yeah to me man and uh i got a lot of this from michael heiser because i mean i thought it was so amazing how he pieced this together and it was totally in the ancient context you know he says that um the tower of babel you know in our modern context we're just told that uh they try to build this tall tower into the heavens and then God came down, divided the languages.

But when you get into Deuteronomy 32.8, it retells that story, but in more detail.

And it says that not only were the tongues divided, it says the nations were divided amongst the Bnei Ha Elohim, the sons of God.

And every time that Bnei Ha Elohim is used, it's talking about divine heavenly beings.

Because a lot of nonbelievers and people that want to combat Christianity, I've seen it a million times, they try to use the fallen state of the world to show that God is unjust or not real.

They're like, oh, if God's real, how come children get cancer? If God's real, how come there's so much trafficking and all this other kind of stuff? If he's real, he's just shitty God.

And I'm like, no, no, no, you're missing the whole Deuteronomy 32 worldview.

And they held on to this in this Old Testament world that the nations were divided amongst the sons of God.
