Detective fiction

I don't enjoy writing detective stories.

I enjoy thinking of a detective story, planning it.

But when the time comes to write it, it is like going to work every day, like having a job.

And it is a job.

I think it is terribly boring, really, you know, to have to write the same thing all your life.

I would like to have written all sorts of different books, tried all kinds of different things.

But of course, Detective Story supported me and my daughter for many years, and they had to be written.

Now, I'm going to say again that I think that Agatha, and I'm sure she's telling the truth of what she says, doesn't particularly enjoy the typing or dictating process.
