That's out in Derrida, I think.

Derrida? Mm-hmm.

Oh, okay.

See, he even knows the city that it's in.

Oh, okay.

Yeah.

Yeah, in Derrida, there was a carcass found on the road.

Craig Giltrow has more on that project.

Smith farms just west of DeRidder, an area known more for timber than row crops.

Because he doesn't have any other farmers near him, being part of the program gives him a front row seat.

Misty Roberts, age 43, mother of two, elected mayor of DeRidder in 2018.

It's a town of about 9,800 people in South Louisiana.

There's controversy in Louisiana over an ex-mayor's release from jail.

Former DeRidder, Louisiana Mayor Misty Roberts walking free after serving 90 days for having sex with a 16-year-old while she was in office.

Some in the community outraged that the judge, who admitted an error in determining the sentence, chose not to amend the ruling for Roberts, who faced up to 17 years for her statutory rape and indecent behavior with a minor convictions in March.

Prosecutors allege she sexually assaulted the boy while they drank alcohol at a pool party in her home in 2024.
