So yeah, they're my two highlights.

The alliance put out that the government knew H5 bird flu was coming and still granted 41 permits to kill a total of 9,170 silver gulls across Victoria last year.

Those authorities to control wildlife permits were issued by the Conservation Regulator under the banner of the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action.

These permits are allocated when authorities believe wildlife is causing damage to property, posing a risk to human health and safety, or is negatively impacting other biodiversity values.

The total count of kangaroos was 2,345,000.

The results are used to inform this agency's wildlife management decisions.

Access to a Portland landmark has been shut off.

The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action is working with Glenelgshire Council to carry out safety work at the Anderson Point steps.

There are serious safety concerns at present due to significant erosion, slope deterioration and cliff instability.

Large swells, heavy rainfall and coastal erosion have impacted the steps over time, causing stability issues where the steps join the cliff face.
