Deontological, by the way, is a word for when something's considered wrong because of the rules, duties, or obligations, but not the actual consequences.

Anyway, many Europeans' alternate views of conservation not only doesn't foster the kind of healthy wildlife populations we have here in North America, but it also apparently paves the way for international conflict of the avian variety like what's going on near the border of France and Belgium right now.
