And, uh, um, I don't know if you know this, but, uh, welcome to the number one county podcast in Washington.

Um, at least that's what, um, Denny Heck said in the last, uh, episode.

So, um, I'm just- I'm running with it.

I assume we're the only county podcast, but you know, that's where we're at.

If you have, if you have some competition, that would, that would actually be more interesting, but it's a great podcast.

I was noticing that you had...

Your last three guests have been Denny Heck, the lieutenant governor, the secretary of state, and the very brilliant Melanie Harding, my former colleague with the City of Tacoma.

So I was thinking of the Barack Obama line where he said either you're- you set a very high bar or this is the beginning of a very funny joke.

And for those of you who don't recognize that deep, dark, sultry voice.

That is the Honorable Lieutenant Governor Denny Heck, who I am very proud to welcome to our podcast today.

I have to say this is the first time I think I've ever been nervous to have someone here in the studio with me.

I'm glad we have a witness.

I think that as far as political legends go, you know, we've had some great ones in Washington state, right? I mean, we've had some amazing public servants.

You know, Dan Evans, you know, is right at the top of the list as far as contemporaries.

But I think that Lieutenant Governor Denny Heck is also near the top.

You've served in Congress.
