Denis Ménochet

The leader of the cult is both terrifying and charismatic.

He's played by Denis Ménochet, who international audiences might remember from the opening scene of Inglourious Basterds.

Well, I thought it was a pretty effective thriller, even if I could see some of the plot twists coming, and I wish the script had been a little bit more subtle.

But I have to say, there were moments when I genuinely felt frightened, and the ending was surprisingly moving.

Marion Cotillard gives a very committed performance, and the tension between her and Denis Ménochet is particularly convincing.

I heard they were avoiding each other between takes to maintain that uncomfortable dynamic, and they even made sure they arrived on set separately, and that works quite well.

Yeah, Denis Ménochet.

So I've made, like, four movies with him.

Um, he's, he's become kind of a big star here in France.
