Uh, producer Robbie Crowder cooked up an interesting idea today.

Uh, he wants you to build the perfect player using attributes from current stars.

Not, not, not necessarily a Frankenstein, in that you would want this player.

A couple caveats as I s- as I started to think ab- think about this, because there are players that I certainly co- could put in multiple, um, places, m- multiple appendages, [laughs] if you will.

Um, and, I, I, you know, I think as we talk about some of these, we have to really understand that I, I tried to make it specific to the appendage or whatever we, we were talking about in that moment, as you'll, as you'll see as we start talking about this.

I look at it and it's like, when I grew up, I was watching wingers like Robert Perez, Damian Duff, Joe Cole, young Cristiano Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs.

I was watching people like Denilson.

I was watching wingers who actually could be wingers.

I think the problem that I see nowadays with a lot of players are like, and maybe the football's changed and maybe I'm just being an old man yelling at the cloud.

Mm.

His class, ball, ball at his feet, incisive runs, defensively strong, has a clue what he's doing with the ball at his feet, which is the total opposite of Robe- Ro- Roberto Carlos or Denilson when he comes on.

Uh, he's the one we, who comes out with some credit out of the Brazil squad.

For me, France, um- You know, Franck Leboeuf and Marcel Desailly and Thuram in that game are magnificent.

Yeah

... for Brazil to try to do a little bit more.

But ultimately I think it's just fair to say that, you know, Brazil just totally missed their, totally messed up their final.
