Denial of Peter

They believed, but they were cowards.

Peter denied our Lord, and then when he receives the Holy Spirit, what does he do? He goes out and boldly proclaims the gospel to the very people that killed Jesus.

Amen.

And he even goes on.

rose from supper and he laid aside his outer garments and taking a towel, tied it around his waist.

And then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and wipe them with a towel that was wrapped around him.

And he came to Simon Peter, who said to him, Lord, do not wash my feet.

And Jesus answered him, what I am doing, you do not understand now, but afterwards you will understand.
