Denaturalization is a process, a very serious process, Hohmann went on to say.

So if somebody lies through the process of becoming a citizen, and we can prove that they in fact lied or misrepresented themselves, we can absolutely denaturalize them.

We've done it before many times over the last 40 years.

I don't know if that's the case still or not, but I think it's up to Marco Rubio to finally say, "Denaturalized, you're out of here." And then DHS can follow that order.

Denaturalization is definitely an uptick in terms of the government being intentional about going after that.

So starting in September, there's an actual task force that was created to go after denaturalizing people.

So denaturalization, before it used to be something challenging to do because then you'd have to go through a federal court and then once you're indicted and convicted, then you go over to immigration court and you no longer have a citizenship, right? So the way how somebody gets denaturalized is if anywhere in their immigration journey, from the point of visa to getting the green card, that there was some misrepresentation in acquiring that green card.

And the State Department is ramping it up.

Denaturalizations have climbed while naturalizations have collapsed.

These are both modern era firsts, in other words, post-1965.

Denaturalization, 123 filed in 18 months versus 305 in 27 years.
