Once you give the Meisr Rishon to the Levi, the Levi's got to give Shumas Meisr to the Kohen.

So in that sense, Demai goes to a Kohen.

The Shumas Meisr Shol Demai goes to a Kohen.

Va'Bikurim, and Va'Keren, Va'Chomash, and the Keren and Chomash.

Keren and Chomash is a person who denies Tvias Mamon.

This explains Yom Tovshen Shel Golioth very well, but for the Ra'ivid, why is there no bracha on separating Shumot and Masorot from D'mai? The Raivit quotes the Amorah, Ravah, who answers this question.

Most Amei Haaretz do separate Trumot and Masrot, and so the Suffolk that Demai requires Hafrasha is an especially weak one.

Chazal required us to be Maafrish nonetheless, but without a rach.

Third, why does the Rambam bring up only now this question of why we make a bracha on a mitzvah to Rabbanon? He could have done this in Perek Aleph regarding Mikra Megillah, or earlier in this Perek regarding Nier Chanukah.

Demai, which means [speaking foreign language] because remember, the [speaking foreign language] were careful to separate [speaking foreign language] was the problem.

Why did he create Demai? Because he sent people all around the Eretz Yisrael He saw that the masses only separated Tshuma Gadolah.

As everyone says, that the masses were all separating Tshuma, and there was a miyot of people, not a rove, a miyot, a minority of people who weren't separating Tshuma Gadolah.

Because of that, we instituted demai.

And the Mishnah says, even if Shal D'mai, even if the Trimus Maisa is from produce which was D'mai, D'mai is the name for produce which is bought from an ignorant person who is not trusted with regards to tithes, and when one buys produce from an ignorant person, he's obligated to tithe it again out of doubt, in case the original owner did not tithe it.

The exception to that is Trimgdaela, because everybody, even ignorant people, did separate Trimgdaela, but not Trimismisa, and therefore if you buy Demai produce, that means you buy produce from an ignorant person, you need to separate Trimismisa out of doubt.

So when you give that to the Kohen, it's only possibly Trimismisa, because if the ignorant person had already tied the produce, then you didn't actually have to.

So it comes out that what you separated is not really Trimismisa.
