like because you could sell that story of like oh Janeway has to kill this guy because she needs the information that the two isn't it she needs the information that Tuvok has to help get them home and that's like you could sell that but the fact that you don't have anybody else in the crew really reacts to it as being a bad or negative thing that's what does it and like Tuvok and Neelix should have been there should have at least been an episode of them being weirdly conflicted over having been in their own individual being that just suffered a essentially murder at the hands of Janeway but also them being glad that they're back to yeah it's weird

yeah because that is brought up like like to be fair in this episode of Lower Decks they they do kind of approach both sides because they are like well they were out in a delta quadrant and they did need uh yeah Tuvok back not so much Neelix but they needed Tuvok back

for sure

And now this has happened in the Alpha Quadrant, so, you know, what's the ethical thing to do? And then there's lots of jokes about how, like, oh my god, there's a swift breeze in space, Voyager's gonna get crushed or whatever.

but other than

that this crew is going to be going out boldly, where no one has gone before, to seek out new life and new civilizations?

The only way I would be interested in something that was like a follow-up series is I would like to see a starship from Starfleet that was in charge of the mission to go back to the Delta Quadrant and essentially undo all the damage that Janeway did.

Yeah, I'd watch that.

I mean, that wasn't

established back then, but in Voyager, we find out that the Delta Quadrant may be where the Borg are from.

It's

too bad all 50 people on Star Trek Generation on that ship all those years ago couldn't tell anyone about the Borg.

We know we can take them out, but it's going

to be a challenge We know from Voyager that the Delta Quadrant doesn't have any of these big federations.

It's got loose planets.

The big space empires all seem to be in the Alpha and Beta Quadrant.

There's the Federation, there's the Cardassians, there's the Klingons, there's the Romulans.

The Dominion are up in the...

Delta Quadrant, is it? Or the Gamma? Gamma.

The other one, yeah.

They are faster friends than I think may have been wise in hindsight in this series.

I feel like if Ronald Moore was the showrunner of Voyager, they would have been at each other's throats all the way from the Delta Quadrant.

And it would have been crew A takes Voyager, crew B takes it back the next week.

And it would have been like infighting all the way home.

And so, yeah, she was in the bottom.

And speaking of how you sell it, finally, we have the Delta Quadrant.

And I'm sorry, this should have been in the bottom because...

I feel like this episode in particular, they very much were phoning it home about how this is a sewing challenge.

But regardless, I think this was a great second episode.

I don't think everybody's design skills are completely there.

In terms of who I think the winner of the season is at this point in the season, like I said, I think it's going to be either Anita Piss or yeah, Yeah, either Anita Piss or KY Kelly, I would say, or the Delta Quadrant because I feel like they know it can't be another fashion queen.

So that's just straight up like Nia Thorne, you're done.

Yeah.

It leaves the two Ferengi in the Delta Quadrant.

That comes up

again.

Because I said to Laura, they should just get Voyager to pick them up.

Yep.

Voyager hasn't got lost in the Delta Quadrant yet, but those Ferengis turn up in season three of Voyager.

And I don't like Voyager, but that's a really good episode.
