Delta Chi

Uh, so five fraternities are still under investigation.

Those five are Delta Chi, Delta Kappa Epsilon, Sigma Tau Gamma, um, Zeta Beta Tau, and Zeta Psi.

And, um, the allegations are still being investigated.

There's not much information on what the steps ahead are except that, you know, this is an ongoing investigation.

[laughs] We should no longer have fraternities and sororities.

Oh, Delta Chi, felt the high.

Yeah.

[laughs]

That was funny.

So she was a member of Tri-Delta sorority at that time, and it seems like she had a lot of contact with members of Delta Chi, which is a fraternity.

That's going to be the fraternity in question in this situation.

When October 19th, 2024, she claims that she's a bodybuilder and that she was at Crunch Fitness getting like lifting weights, whatever, whenever she has her phone stolen.

She made it sound like she got intoxicated over there.

But They end up leaving, going to another bar.

And in the meantime, she's texting a guy from Delta Chi and they're talking about hooking up at the fraternity house.

So she leaves the bar by herself, walks a mile to the fraternity house and meets up with him there.

And I did look it up.

It was Delta Chi or Delta Chi, C-H-I-

Oh, yeah

... was the fraternity.

Delta Chi.

And their motto is, um, "A mystic band of brotherhood."

Love these mystics.

For those of you who have listened to other shows, Jeff and I were in the same fraternity in college at University of Illinois.

We're in Delta Chi fraternity.

The golf outing was to benefit our fraternity.

And our high bidder for an appearance on the show was Dave Levine.

Fullerton police say alcohol consumption appears to have been a contributor in Blas's death, and at this time, hazing is not considered to be a factor.

The university says the fraternity was off campus, and family and students we spoke to say the fraternity was called Delta Chi.

According to Cal State Fullerton's website, Delta Chi had its recognition revoked effective April of 2021 through at least January of 2029, noting a long list of violations, including alcohol, alcohol and illegal drugs and hazing.

The school's limited in what it can do in terms of how young men can organize and what associations they can have.

But they can absolutely be warning parents, be warning students.

In a statement, the Delta Chi fraternity emphasized it does not currently operate a chapter in Fullerton and have worked with the university to ensure students are aware that no active chapter exists.

saying they have consistently communicated that any individual or group purporting to operate as Delta Chi at the university does so without the authorization, recognition, oversight, or support of the Delta Chi fraternity.

And the Greek letters that had been posted on the side of this house have recently been taken down.
