Now, Delmenhorst is a middle-sized city city that not many people have heard of, has a population of about 80,000, and is close to Bremen in northwest Germany.

It has a history that is remarkably similar to Manchester.

It also started with a textile industry in the 19th century, drew a lot of immigrants, and has a population of at least 50% of people who are multilingual.

Yeah, I was so amazed when you first told me that.

I had no idea that, you know, Delmenhorst was in any way on the multilingual.

Well, some also very interesting languages, minority languages, languages that are of particular interest to me, Kurdish, Arabic, but also Romani, very large Romani community from Bulgaria, and a very, very large, probably one of the country's biggest Aramaic-speaking communities, originally from Anatolia and Turkey, but also from other areas.
