DelFest

Single mic.

Uh, they were at Del Fest recently.

Little slower than my typical tastes.

Big focus on vocals and a little bit slower.

Right.

Delfest, I remember.

He was really kind of starting to get hot.

I

Always has been.

But he had not blown up yet.

And I remember, you know, his manager, who's a friend of mine, came up and said, you know, would you come sit in with Billy at Delfest? You know, I was at Delfest as if like that was, you know, a favor to them.

And so I did.

Sierra's wonderful, and I think that's part of why we get along musically.

We got to play Delfest with Sierra, like Water Tower featuring Sierra Farrell last year, and it fits together so well.

We didn't even have to rehearse that much because I think we had that busking street, like a lot of common songs, and it felt really good.

Yeah, and it's bluegrass, so it's all in G anyway.

I make it down to that area with some frequency.

I visit Delfest, which I think is in Allegheny County.

So the Allegheny County I'm talking about is in North Carolina.

We sit right on the state border here.

And one day when I was there, I don't remember who he was talking to.

I don't remember, like, but I was just kind of sitting in the chair behind the console, you know, and these are two other, Randy and this other person were having a conversation, and it was about Delfest, Del McCurry's festival.

And this might have been the first or second year And they had recorded everyone's sets to a hard disk recorder, like a multitrack, but not to a computer to where if you wanted to transfer it to do something with it, you had to do it in real time.
