Delaware Tribe of Indians

Tell me what you found.

Well, I found just a phenomenal record from the Delaware Indians.

They're one of the earliest American Indian tribes that migrated through Alaska down across Canada and then spread out across the United States.

They have a record of where they believe everything came from that exactly parallels the biblical account of creation.

They have got to build a large building, and they want the missionaries to come and teach all of them.

But during this time that the Delaware Indians are establishing homes and food during the middle of this very harsh winter, the local people in Missouri go to the, um, land agents and get a warrant for their arrest out for these missionaries.

They want them to stop their preaching.

They take away their license, and they w- do not allow them to go back.

I've heard from people from the Cree, which we didn't have Cree I don't think here.

We had Delaware, the Miami, the Potawatomi.

But different tribes had different names for things that are very similar to what they have here.

Like, here we have the little people, which there has been quite a few, uh...

So again, maybe a lot of this stuff is all based off of they all saw the same thing, but they all called it something different.

So what we're seeing now could have been the same thing that people do call a skin walker, but it's not what they would've called it here.

Like, maybe the Miami or the Delaware gave it its...

They had a different word for it.

I want to close with another story.

William Penn and another tribe of Indians, the Delaware Indians.

William Penn, in meeting with the Delaware Indians, struck a deal, and the Delaware tribe promised William Penn That he could have as much of their land as he could encompass on foot in a single day.

You can have as much of our land as you can walk around, circumnavigate in a single day.

He got up early the next day, very early before the sun was up with a map in hand and walked and walked and walked and walked and walked and walked and walked and walked into the night, marking it on his map.
