Continue towards the creek, the waterway that helped organize Dubai as a trading port and a center for pearl diving.

The main experience here is crossing it in an abra, a traditional boat linking Bur Dubai with Deira on the opposite bank.

The crossing takes around five minutes.

From the water, the relationship between the two shores becomes clear.

This is a route through the old commercial city as well as a view of it.

Once across, walk beside the creek in Deira.

Its souqs, or traditional markets, can form a secondary stop.

Give the waterfront and crossing the main share of your attention.

It's still present today.

Yeah, definitely the Creek, definitely Bur Dubai, and not just the Bur Dubai side, the Deira side as well.

So Bur Dubai is on one side and Deira-

... is on the other side, right?

And then, like, just walking down a couple of minutes from there, Al Fahidi District, another amazing neighborhood that's historic that's been preserved and maintained as well.

A couple of hotels there, couple of Emirati restaurants there, so you can get a feel of the food as well.

I love that whole area, and then obviously taking the abra to the Deira side because that's the OG side.

There are spice markets and gold markets.

There is Deira along the creek where old Dubai is.

So you still have like old mud buildings there.

The Dubai Museum is very interesting.
