What happened there?

Well, yes, I do.

The Department of Justice is suing me over not giving them, and I'm in good company, they're suing 30 states and the District of Columbia over not providing all of the personal identifying information for every Utah voter.

But that doesn't have anything to do with this upcoming election, so voters don't need to worry about that.

But the Department of Justice a year ago did ask every single state in the nation to hand over their full unredacted voter rolls, and that includes driver's license numbers, social security numbers, full dates of birth.

And most of us were very concerned about this request.

It was certainly unusual.

What do you say to them? How worried should they be about election security in Utah?

Well, every time I face challenges, I like to try to think of them as opportunities.

And one of the really good things about the many, many challenges election officials throughout the country have had over the past few years with this kind of constant barrage of attacks and accusations, what we have done is we have looked at our systems from top to bottom.

Legislatures have passed laws.

Our legislature has passed laws.

We have continually improved our processes.

We have strong, secure elections.

If we get to November and a prominent political leader, Republican or Democrat, claims that an election was stolen, what evidence should an ordinary voter demand to see before they believe that claim?
