Yeah, and the 49ers had a lot of new faces.

I mean, on the defensive line, they opened the season with nine defensive linemen on their initial 53, and only three of those guys suited up for the game on Sunday.

49ers beat the Arizona Cardinals 36-30.

The only three guys that made the 53 were... who were on the field on Sunday against Arizona, Osa Adigizua, Keon White, and Grayson Halden.

And the season debut for Kevin Givens up from the practice squad.

Givens, of course, has been with the 49ers for quite some time.

And then it was the NFL debuts for a couple of defensive linemen, Sebastian, the Hulk Valdez, and also Viliama Feoco.

I like that idea of just like start with Love early and get the big explosives and, and wear them down, and then you've got Tyler Allgeier to finish them off in the fourth quarter.

I, I, I, again, those two players in par- especially like the defensive line for the Niners, like we know their linebackers are gonna be great, they fill, Fred Warner, Dre Greenlaw.

But like run on the perimeter, go off the edge.

Nick Bosa's, who was already a questionable run defender, he's out.

They're gonna have backups upon backups at edge rusher this week.

Mykel Williams has not been back.

Like, I expect the Niners to trade for a defensive lineman.

They could even trade Mack Jones.

But now he's gone to everyone better know where number four is.

Now he's been named the SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week.

So Williams had a monster game against the Gamecocks.

He finished with, what, 10 tackles in the game, which led Mississippi State.

Like that's like their ability to not think that is like going to make a big difference, but it just feels like stuff keeps happening over and over.

I do feel like, the defensive line has long been central to the 49ers ideology, the ability to, to, to handle the run and get to the quarterback and anchor this defense, which with, with the front four is fundamental to who they are.

And this really hurts that.

And that becomes a bigger problem.

Yeah, and that's a hell of an endorsement from Nick Bosa.

And here's the thing.

He's going to get the opportunity because that defensive line continues to get thinner and thinner each and every day.

And today's show, I'm excited about this.

I want to talk about the defensive line rotation, projection of what I think it's going to be.

You know, the injuries just keep happening.

The SAMO goes on IR.

He's one of your smaller, more technical, obviously NFL savvy.

He's the oldest defensive tackle in the room.

Might be the oldest defensive lineman in the room, period.

But man, like that defensive tackle rotation.

We are back.

We are diving into our defensive line, summer scouting, kind of looking at all of the edges and defensive tackles, kind of put them all together here, just looking at the top guys here.

So we're going to go through our kind of general thoughts here on this class.

Um, my initial takeaway from this class, a lot of dudes, a lot of fun dudes, like guys watching here.

I don't know where Christian's out on that, but there are some run stuffing guys here.

Some really some difference makers more than we saw in the last year's class.

I think there's some difference makers on the defensive line just from the defensive tackle spot.

And there's two legitimate edge guys, like two guys here that we're going to dive into that I have loved since they came in as freshmen.
