And Glenn can be a defensive coordinator.

No one's questioning his ability to be at least an average to above average DC.

But is he going to be the head coach to take this team to the next level? Way too early to have those conversations.

But that's the stuff that I was talking with Nick about this, like when the Bucs, had to get off of Tony Dungy to bring in Gruden to kind of take them to the next level to win a Super Bowl.

I think their offense was putrid in the games that they lost.

I think it's different now looking through the lens of Pete Golding Head coach slash DC.

Whereas before, we're talking about him strictly in the defensive coordinator role.

We can kind of break down, well, what does it mean to try and be both of those things, essentially.

And I kind of hit that in the preview.

I think that the things that we saw to Byron Brown, as far as the turnovers, as far as just not looking really comfortable, like I think this Florida defense is better than that Baylor defense.

I think talent wise, schematically, as much as I like around there, we're kind of still talking about the head coach DC split thing there.

In a vacuum, he was a good DC.

You know, h- what's been the, the calling card of, of the defense so far that's really stood out for this new look D?

Yeah, Tyson Summers is the DC.

He, he was the DC last year, became the interim when Jay Norvell was fired mid-season and then, um, was retained obviously by Mora.

Super, super aggressive attacking, um, mindset I guess.

I, I believe last year CSU blitzed on his almost, like, 70% of plays.

We're talking about the blitz.

To blitz or not to blitz? What did the blitz rates throughout the NFL in week one tell us about the varying philosophies of some of its defensive coordinators? And one of the primary questions you have to answer as a DC when doing your game plan for an upcoming opponent is how much are we going to blitz them? You know, again, fans love the blitz.

The blitz is exciting.

The blitz is exciting because you can see it happen, right? Whether it's a pre-snap cue or maybe it's a late post-snap blitz coming from the second level.

From Brian Flores, that madman in Minnesota blitzing on almost every snap, all the way down to Patrick Graham in Pittsburgh, deciding to blitz almost not at all.

Almost not at all.

So let's talk about, we'll pick five DCs and look quickly at what they did with the blitz in week one.

And what does that say about their philosophy for that particular opponent? All right, let's start with Flores.

And maybe it's making too much of this, but Pete Golding, when he was the D.C., He coached in the booth.

Maybe it's a coincidence, but the Ole Miss defense has not looked the same since Pete Golding went from the booth to the sidelines.

Let's break down this Washington defense.

Talk about what stands out to you guys from this Washington defense this year.
