Mr. Carney is also demonstrating a presidential style.

He likes to rule through photo ops and Fiat and take trips and, you know, he's saying some tangible things.

But his scorn, his non-attention to the basic traditions of Parliament, showing up for question period, simply being absent for the most part, is not consistent with the fundamental history of Canadian democracy.

One thing we also have to remember is that Mr. Carney, when he was governor of the Bank of England, was very involved in the Brexit vote and fought on the side of the Remainers.

They don't mess around, and these folks didn't either.

But they are only acting in self-defense, which means that their enemies, and there are millions of them today, didn't listen to the news of the Second Decree and were willing to kill Jews even if it put them in danger themselves.

You would think that they would just... not harass the Jews, but they did.

Have things changed? Well, I don't think any president is going to give this kind of order, but then again, so there's basically a two-day civil war in the Persian Empire.
