And her response was brought to mind with this to say, have you seen how people clean those? I'm not touching that stack over there.

And that brings to mind that with all of the steps we take in decontamination, these complex medical devices are something that maybe not all parts get cleaned.

Some parts can't even be soaked.

So Bianca, what about these complex medical devices makes them such a challenge to clean, disinfect, and make safe for the staff?

And there's really two things I think that make them difficult.

It's first, they don't go through the process normal that we are so familiar with.

So our decontamination sink, then a sonic, then a washer disinfector.

So they fall outside of what we're comfortable with and used to.

You put on your bunker gear.

DECON established.

You know what? If something happens and we have a writ scenario and someone's been buried under debris, we're gonna pull them out, get them out of their gear, and we're gonna do whatever DECON needs to be done, whatever kind of medical treatment needs to be done.

We literally are doing all of these things on a fire scene.
