The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia has condemned the Australian Government's intention to end funding for its Prostate Cancer Specialist Nursing Program from 30 June 2027.

Last week we had the wonderful Professor Declan Murphy, who's the Director of Genitourinary Oncology at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, talk to us about all the issues around prostate cancer and he was just magnificent.

So I thought we'd get him back on to discuss this.

Tell us a bit about your thoughts on these.

Yes, I think as you were mentioning, Declan, this is a real hot topic in everyday clinical practice.

So understanding the role, in addition to the role of radiation therapy, of surgery also for oligometastatic disease.

And I mean, these are, to me, important papers in the sense that they are trying to address this gap.
