In something called Decentraland, a group called Metaverse Group purchased a 116-parcel virtual estate on November 2021 for approximately $2.4 million.

That estate is now worth around $9,000, representing a decline of 99.6%.

A CoinGecko study found that average metaverse land prices were down 95% in The Sandbox and even more in Decentraland.

In the real world, when property prices decline that much, it's usually due to a natural disaster.

In the metaverse, nothing happened.

For context, Second Life, a virtual world that launched twenty-three years ago, still attracts around two hundred thousand people per day.

They even managed legs on day one.

We're all going to be in the metaverse.

I've bought a mansion in Decentraland.

And I've already bought artwork and tokenized this.

Yeah, the tech looks amazing, but no consumers adopted it.
