Joining us is Allen Miller, Democratic candidate for Indiana House District 73.

House District 73 includes parts of Shelby, Decatur, Jennings, and Bartholomew Counties.

including communities such as Shelbyville, Greensburg, Scipio, and Hope.

It's a district where agriculture, manufacturing, and small business continue to drive the local economy.

And our utility providers don't have the power capacity to support both of those.

We don't have the water capacity to support both of those, in my opinion.

This data center is going to be the fifth largest user of water in the county, here in Decatur County.

I haven't seen the exact numbers for Shelbyville yet.

Again, they're located at 107 South Broadway and that ribbon cutting is Tuesday, November the 17th at 2 o'clock p.m. And then finally on the calendar, we have a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, December the 2nd for the brand new Forge Fitness here in Greensburg.

Their location is 181 East Veterans Way and that ribbon cutting on Wednesday, December the 2nd will be at 1 o'clock p.m.

So again, a lot of momentum, a lot of growth, a lot of expansion, a lot of movement, which a lot of great things happening here in Decatur County.

I've actually had some discussion with a couple of other businesses that I don't want to release just yet, but I foresee a couple of more ribbon cuttings happening in the very new future.

So you're definitely going to want to stay attached to our social media and keep an eye on that for more information.

I think we have 21 departments this year that are going to be involved in the program that we'll be escorting throughout town.

Okay, so you're talking about 21 total agencies and obviously throughout Decatur County, is that correct?

Yes, it's all Decatur County agencies, so it consists of the Sheriff's Department, Detention Center, CIT, the Coroner's Office, the Greensburg Police Department, Indiana State Police, Indiana Conservation, St. Paul Police Department, New Point Police Department, Westport Police Department, Decatur County EMS, Decatur County Dispatch, Decatur County Court Services, Greensburg Fire, Adams Fire, Bernie Fire, Clarksburg Fire, Letts Fire, Milhousam Fire, New Point Fire, St. Paul Fire, and Westport Fire.

As you can tell, there's tons and tons of agencies involved in this.

There's tons of planning that goes into this program every year.

All right.

So, again, that is the Santa's Hero Celebration, formerly known as Shop with a Cop.

And that will take place on November 21st, starting at 630 a.m. at the Decatur County Emergency Operations Center.

They defeated South Decatur 3-0, winning straight sets in their opening round of sectionals.

And then they moved on to defeat North Decatur 3-1 in the semifinals of sectionals.

And then defeated our...
