So staying in one of his houses, were you able to kind of reflect on that part of his work of why he was so adamant about how things happen on the interior.

Definitely.

I think, you know, when you're staying somewhere, you notice a lot of the details that you might miss when you're walking through.

Because yes, it's a tour, but you're still walking through and you don't have all the time in the world to take notice of all these interior details, the small ones.

And also to see what it is like to actually, quote unquote, live in this house, even though it was just one night, but what does it feel like? And is it comfortable? Is it convenient for somebody who's staying there? Are his designs livable? What is it that sticks out? For me, it was this whole blurring of the nature and the indoors and outdoors kind of blur, which he really focused on in terms of putting a lot of windows in and making nature you know come inside and i found that to be truly wonderful i i love when when i can see outside and and i can watch the time of day as it changes i love sitting there at night in the evening and watching i loved waking up in the morning and seeing a deer go across the yard i you know just having that that whole nature element to me was was truly wonderful and that's really something that that he is known for that's a definite characteristic But one of the places that you really can see several of his homes and actually stay in one or two of them is Polymath Park.

I had no idea this existed before I was researching the Laurel Highlands.

And by the way, before I said it was near Pittsburgh, which is true.

I think, you know, within the living history area, the village and people, you could talk to people.

And from my experiences and my knowledge from before, when I was touring Gettysburg, they did mention a lot about that.

And they did mention several times throughout that, you know, the people of Gettysburg, the townspeople, were left with hundreds of really dead bodies that were all over the place, and they had to deal with them.

Nobody else dealt with them.

They had to deal with injured.

They had to deal with, you know, people, like I said, corpse-like bodies all over the place, and it took a very long time for them to clean up that town.

I mean, it's just, that's my little hope, you know?
