Deathdream

but And what's the Bob Clark movie with the son coming home who's basically a zombie?

Death Dream.

That's the one that I was thinking that was horror.

There's a few other horror pictures.

My friends need killing.

But that one more specifically is horror.

Yeah, Death Dream.

And it also goes by Dead of Night, which makes things very confusing because Bob Clark already made a Dead of Night.

And I think I'd probably encountered it when Andy and I were doing zombie mania.

Cause we did children shouldn't play with dead things and death dream.

And I, we were very much interested.

We were also very interested in Ormsby because he is such a, annoying creep and children shouldn't play with dead things.

Because I said earlier that I knew it vaguely from its connection to Ormsby.

Ormsby was a partner with Bob Clark.

They did Children's Show and Play with Dead Things and Death Dream.

And obviously, you know, Bob Clark.

I guess I jumped an extra time.

Yeah, Close Encounters, Death Dream, Close Encounters of Crime, and Black Christmas, which everyone calls a proto-slasher.

which I don't know if it's a proto slasher, but it is a great.

It's a great movie.

One thing I love about Alan Worsby is he's a big monster fan.

And he went on to do the makeup effects in Death Dream, Bob Clark's next movie.

which is a fantastic movie.

It's really, if you guys have never seen that, it's a step up from Children, and it also shows you what Bob Clark would eventually do with Black Christmas in terms of story and atmosphere.

One of his earlier films where all the memes come from.

And then Dead of Night, which is a Bob Clark film.

That is a film about a Vietnam veteran who comes back home and everyone thinks he's...

Something's wrong with him.

I will come to the cast.

Clark followed this film with two films in 1974: Death Dream, which is also on our zombie list to watch, and Black Christmas, which is considered one of the first slasher films.

Oh.

All right.

Ah.

Alan Ormsby, who has the screen credit of screenplay collaboration, he also went on to an interesting career.

He wrote and directed a 1974 horror film called Deranged, and co-wrote Death Dream for Bob Clark.

He wrote the well-received 1980 film My Bodyguard, and the 1982 film Catpeople.
