An ecstasy overdose.

Really? Yeah.

That name, like, if you meet anyone, any sort of mid-aged millennial who went to a state school in the UK, if you bring up the name, especially people who have... maybe partied in their 20s.

If you bring up Leah Betts, they will immediately know who that is.

Yeah, Leah Betts was to Ecstasy what the satanic panic was to Dungeons & Dragons.

That really did.

Ecstasy even scared me to begin with because of the whole Leah Betts thing during the 90s.

And then Friends started doing it and I guess the music kind of took over.

And I did, but I was like you, I was terrified of these things.

The number we should be worried about is the number of people using drugs problematically.

And of course, if you have different options for our society, for example, MDMA, You know, we're sold this idea that MDMA is so dangerous, and tragically, people have died like Leah Betts, and that's awful.

But Leah Betts died from poor advice drinking too much water, you know, from the wrong harm reduction advice.

And most of the deaths have been because it's not regulated.

A very close friend of mine, Anne-Marie Coburn, she lost her 15-year-old daughter to an accidental overdose of MDMA.
