So, you know, whenever we get into the early builds, I never get into the story stuff because I don't want anything spoiled.

my god, honestly, I looked at my Spotify, what is it called? Rewind Wrapped? Spotify Wrapped? And I was like, wow.

this is sort of like his, I saw that there was a, he did a premiere, I think, or introduced the film for a press screening and had mentioned that like, this was like his return back to sort of his roots away from kind of the machine of Hollywood, which is true because, you know, he kind of came up doing films like You're Next and The Guest, which is the one I, I had just watched that one most recently and that movie kind of blew me away, but, you know, kind of came out from the kind of group of like kind of mumble core filmmakers as well too.

And really kind of hit it off big with like Blair Witch, Death Note, and then obviously the Godzilla versus Kong movies, like huge blockbusters.

And now back with this movie, which looks very slick, which I think is a film about like an army sniper fighting off Super Soldiers, and I hear that premise, and I'm like, sounds good to me.

I was going to go see this on Thursday, and I ended up switching my whole movie schedule around, so I'm hoping that next week I'll check this one out, but very excited for that one.

Adam Wingard is somebody who is a kind of cartoonish, extravagant director.

I do think now it kind of makes sense why they would have picked him for Kong vs. Godzilla and even Death Note.

But he knows technically what he's doing, and you're still going to get an elevated version of those throwbacks than what his inferiors will offer now.

He was definitely in... 100%.

So Death Note, the musical, has had such an interesting canon of like a history because the origin of that is Frank Wildhorn got committed... big musical theater guy.

He wrote Jekyll and Hyde.

Star Trek Beyond, Term Life, Kong Skull Island, good movie.

He likes Arsene Lupin, those novels.

He's influenced by, you know, the works of Osamu Dezai, like any writer in Japan.

And also a Spanish writer known by Gabriel Garcia Marquez because of his magic realism type stuff.
