Dean of Rochester

We learnt a few years ago that bringing families together, often when they didn't know each other, having shared the same experiences was really powerful and this garden will enable us to do that in a really open environment with families bringing their children if they wish, enjoying the open space and having that chance to converse with each other about the situation they've been in and the experiences they've shared.

Dr Philip Hesketh is the Dean of Rochester.

He's been telling Nicola more about the history of the space.

The medieval gate in the wall was bricked up about 300 years ago, and it was basically just the end of someone's kitchen garden, which hadn't been used for quite a long time, and it was in a real state.
