Which is cool because Pest contains the bass player from Pearl Jam, Jeff Ament.

So that was pretty cool that...

They're going to be touring with Dead Pioneers and yeah, they're kind of hit up right as I was setting the lineup.

It's like, oh, you want the dude from Pearl Jam's band to play your festival? I'm like, yeah, that sounds pretty cool.

Nobody lost points.

Hell yeah.

Another incredible album from Dead Pioneers.

We were very fortunate to get an advanced listen of this album, and I know I've spun it more than a few times since then.

Ding! Maeve pointed out two bands that they've been listening to recently, and I think they're maybe going to see them in concert.

And Dead Pioneers came up.

And it was kind of described to me as Native American indigenous protest music.

And immediately I was hooked.

I was like, right, let's go right there.

And to me, dead pioneers kind of remind me of rage against the machine turned down one notch and the lead singer does more spoken word than like shell wrapping.

Still does some, like some rhyming in it too.

It's really cool stuff.

They're fucking great.

All right, so out of Colorado, the Dead Pioneers put out Wagon Burner this year, and it's really good.

So when we were in the studio making this record, some of the guys from Dead Pioneers who had become friends were actually in the studio with another band that some of them were in.

I try to, I try to focus on like, I guess like albums overall that I really, you know, lean into.

And so I think definitely some like singles were cut or even like artists I talked about a lot last year, like Dead Pioneers.

Like I really focused on them last year.

And so I was like, okay, let me maybe focus in on some newer artists.
