So today we are talking about Dead Birds, Eyes of Fire, The Valley of Gwangi, Ghost Town, and Vampires.

But to start off, just in case folks are not familiar with the Bag of Horror slash Horse format, when we do Bags of Horror, we are not as specific in terms of all the information about the film.

It's just kind of like... train of thought just like vomit let's just talk about this not as again detailed so along with that we usually are very good about calling out spoilers and so with this being a bag we're talking about various films when we feel like we need to get into spoilers for that film we will call it out and if you want to skip ahead because you don't want spoilers just check the show notes and carly will have will have marked um when a film is being discussed and then when the spoilers are being discussed so you can hop around at your leisure but once again we will call it out don't be afraid um unless that is what you into you kinky little freak all right so let's start off with dead birds which is from 2004 it was directed by alex turner and it was written by simon barrett and if you're like i recognize that name why do i recognize that name well simon is known for your next the guest vhs various segments across the those different anthologies and The 2016 Blair Witch, Azrael, and Godzilla, Times Con, X-Con, whatever you want to say, The New Empire.

And you may be saying, Kyle, you just said you're not going to give us a lot of detail, and you just told us this whole guy's filmography.

Barrett started doing like crazy stuff.

Like he wrote Frankenfish and Dead Birds.

But once he hooked up with Adam Wingard, this is their 11th film working together.

Barrett was actually brought into, I think, Script Doctor or co-write Godzilla X. Kong, which is Adam Wingard's last studio film.

They met

at school together.

Barrett and them didn't meet until on the set of the Dead Birds movie.

I think he was with Fangoria Magazine.
