This is a well-deserving of the DC Finest banner.

whole bunch of early cassandra uh cassandra kane uh stuff here so

i i i got it and before you say anything it includes the long out of print crossover series ghost back girl that's the only reason i got it because i have most of those volumes uh i don't but they've also this is all of her early appearances yes it is so i don't have they've never collected it like this before but And I don't have her pre-solo series stuff.

Plus some DC's finest romance.

And Wonder Woman Judgment in Infinity thrown in there for good measure.

They're putting some good stuff in the DC Finest the past couple months.

We don't have any Nightwing epics, do we?

no so there's some um there's no epics there's no dc finest other than that there was a robin dc finest from the 60s from his first appearances through whatever the 60s or something like that um there's uh omnibuses for nightwing and there's compendiums but there's not um they haven't released the nightwing um you know dc finest line yet right okay

All right, let's go to the next one in our volume here.

This is Detective Comics number 585, The Rat Catcher.

And then the girl basically saying, look, like nobody's going to put me away.

Um, you know, uh, you know, once they, they understand what I did and why I do it.

The other thing that's in this issue that I feel like is interesting that's going to set up stuff for the next DC finest volume is these panels with Robin and Robin sort of beating up this pimp and kind of taking it so far where Batman has to pull it off of him.

We haven't seen this yet, to my knowledge.

Or Bronze Age Batman Omnis.

And then they've also solicited the DC Finest for that.

So it's going to be all three editions.

The DC Finest won't have era-appropriate paper.

It'll be the standard glossy paper, but it's going to be the original coloring.

That's fine.

So, but wait, there's more.

We also have the last part of the DC finest colon crisis comma crisis on infinite Earth's part four.

And it's the ongoing collection of the reality-shattering saga that is Crisis on Infinite Earths.

It comes to its universe-shaking climax in its fourth and final comprehensive volume, featuring for the first time ever all of the original series together with every tie-in and crossover issue in reading order.

That was a good story, too.

It's just worth... reprinting anyway, in my opinion.

Especially nice of them to acknowledge this in the DC Finest compendium here.

i think every couple years when we do have these chats i always ask you did you ever think that the facebook group would become this massive resource for epic collections that it is

at all and i'm glad that it has and in fact there's a sister group now for dc finest and that group has blown up like it's um i think the the The Epic Collection Facebook group has been around for maybe about eight years now, and it's grown to 3,000.

The DC Finest group has only been around for a year now, and it's already at 5,000.

So people are loving the DC Finest books, and both of them are a great resource for people who are trying to figure out information about the books and that kind of stuff, and everybody's eager to help out.

Even if it's a question that's been asked 100 times, we'll always answer it.

Yeah, I appreciate how you've kept it a fun-loving area that people aren't mean or yelling at each other.

The second, this last box had the crisis companion.

It had DC finest events.

Number two, it had the, justice league of america 200 facsimile which is

Not really anything of great import.

I was just looking through the DC Finest collections because I think they're really interesting.

I'm happy they're now on the DC app.

Has this, has this been collected in a DC finest yet?

There is a collection of it.

I don't think it's the finest, though.

Definitely one of Doug Munch's favorites.

And they just released, not too long ago, DC Finest of that era.

And it has a lot of those stories where Jason Todd gets adopted and that sort of thing with Nocturna.

So a lot of good issues in that trade.

No, they're not available for purchase.

And you know what? You were right from this time.

This was the first time any were released on there because I just hit hit the DC finest and there was only five items and they were all released today.

So it just happens to be the one day I was if we recorded yesterday or day before yesterday, I would have been right.

All right.

Moving on, we get DC Finest Batgirl Silent Night, which is a Cassandra Cain Batgirl collection.

It is a robust 696 pages.

There's a bunch of stuff in here that's sort of what you'd expect the first six issues of the Batgirl series, a No Man's Land tie-in, a Legends of the Dark Knight story.

Okay.

Yeah.

And DC's been double dipping in a lot of this stuff, releasing a Finest version and an Omnibus version.

They're doing the same thing with Great Darkness Saga, actually.
