Daylilies

Because I had to have them all labeled and stuff, because it was a display garden.

I was gonna say, did you not have the Daylily Society come visit?

Oh, you know darn well the Daylily Society-

... 250 varieties, all nicely labeled.

I'm, I'm still...

Yeah, I'm still a member of the local Daylily Society, and I'm also a member of the National Society.

Yeah.

And Daily Lily's probably not the top 30.

See, and

this is where we're divided, because you're a plant person, and I'm, I like plants, but I want it to be useful.

And also just the specific flowers that you've called out.

So like the iris, the peonies, the alliums, the daylilies, like the diversity of color, the diversity of form, the genetic variability of those plants specifically.

So many, many years ago in a past life, I did a program called Drag Queens and Daylilies, which was exactly what it sounds like.

And we were sort of like building bridges between horticulture and drag culture in exactly those same ways.

Between the names and the forms and the colors and the bloom times and the shapes and the sizes.
