Luke definitely wants to talk groin punching.

Chris Melo, former Saskatchewan Rough Rider kicker, will come in at about 4.30 to talk kicking in the CFL, what he's seeing from the riders, Alex Hale and young Dawson Hodge.

You know, I would imagine that the riders as a whole are focused on getting some of their key players back.

But to your point here, I would imagine that you're still kicking around what to do at kicker down the stretch.

Dawson Hodge looked solid and overall comfortable going into a hornet's nest at Princess Auto Stadium and the banjo bowl and the rest and went two for two.

Now, he didn't have a kick... from distance and there weren't any kicks there with the game on the line but i thought overall he looked comfortable that said i think the discussion that has to be going on in the front office there at mosaic stadium is are we comfortable going through the stretch run with alex hill who we just benched potentially could still see him down the stretch Dawson Hodge who just recently played his first CFL game or would we rather see what the price might be from Ottawa who are 0-12 at the moment out of the playoff race completely looking forward to 2027 for what it might take to get Brett Lother away from them and bring him back to the Prairies.

I feel like we've spent a disproportionate amount of time talking about the kicking position again this year, but Alex Hale out.

I mean, they weren't hard kicks for him, but he was able to put them both through the uprights.

Yeah, but they didn't remember there was one time they punted.

Maybe it was good for field position, but they couldn't have tried another 51-yard field goal with Dawson Hodge, too.

But considering it was his first game, it's in a hot, cold environment, it wasn't great weather conditions, Dawson Hodge did fine.

Dawson Hodge came in, and maybe he's there for the Rough Riders.

The last time they had a kicker who was perfect, what was the kid's name last season? Michael Hughes.

Michael Hughes was 3-for-3 and 2-for-2 in converts, had an average 65 yards per kickoff, and they cut him in training camp this year.

So I hope Dawson Hodge survives this one because he's perfect, and when the kicker's perfect for the Rough Riders, they lose.

But Dawson Hodge, let's give him at least an unsung hero so we remember his name.
