It's failed to focus on the countless public warnings and pleas for more action against Islamist extremism, antisemitism, and anti-Zionism, and it didn't even call Josh Frydenberg, the former treasurer and leading Jewish Australian, who led the campaign to have the royal commission established in the first place.

Sporting legend Dawn Fraser, who also advocated to have the inquiry established, has also criticized these omissions and called for the commission to be extended.

So pressure is mounting, and the criticism has reached such a level now that it's likely to undermine public confidence in the commission's findings.

For example, the head of the AFP was not called to give evidence.

And it's interesting, last night on Shari Markson's program, Shari revealed that Australian Olympic legend Dawn Fraser declared that the Royal Commission had failed the pub test, saying the way the Royal Commission has operated has been a failure.

Has it been a failure, Joel?

Well, I think let's track it from the start.

I think that the first thing that we should recognise is that Jewish Australians are not alone in this great country of ours.

You know, identities like Dawn Fraser and many others, you know, we had over 30 senior defence intelligence officials that... signed petitions, the commercial and corporate community signed petitions.

Dawn Fraser had the athletes sign the petition to get the Royal Commission.

So the fact that these non-Jewish Australians stood up for us then and are standing up for us now, I think is the most important thing that needs to be recognised.

As I said at the time, what's that got to do with him and how is it relevant to a Royal Commission looking into anti-Semitism and social cohesion in Australia? Well, one of our most famous Australians isn't happy either.

Dawn Fraser has torched the Royal Commission by declaring it fails to pass the pub test and fearlessly investigate growing hatred in Australia.

Now, Shari Markson covered this last night on her program on News 24 and it's being reported today by Amy Jackson in The Australian.

Now, Dawn's initial demand for a Royal Commission after the terror attack was instrumental to Anthony Albanese's about-face on implementing an inquiry despite long resisting calls.

It was my hope and expectation that the Royal Commission would fearlessly investigate the unprecedented harassment, intimidation and violence directed at the Australian Jewish community.

What followed is not at all what I or many of the others involved at the time envisaged.

And I think when people like Dawn Fraser speak, most Australians listen.

And what I'd say to Dawn, and I look forward to catching up with her in a couple of months' time when I spend some time with Dawny on the Gold Coast, thank you for saying what we all think.

Now, Aussie legend Dawn Fraser, she's come out.

She told me, I reported this on the show last night, she says the Royal Commission fails the pub test, that it's failed to call government ministers and also Islamist organisations responsible for hate.
